![]() ![]() I am not certain but I would assume it was Winston Holness aka Niney The Observer at the controls that day. The Black Roots Players were Sugar Minott’s studio band that included an all star cast of musicians and singers like Ansel Collins, Leroy “Horsemouth” Wallace, and Leroy Sibbles, to name but a few. Wackies repressed it about 10 years back, and the dub they tweaked is really something. Jamming – This came out on 12” around 1983 on Sugar Minott’s own label, Black Roots. Makes you wonder if that technique, so prevalent today, originated with Hip Hop or with Reggae? Hmmm This sounds exactly like the Paragons original because Coxsone Dodd would basically take the original Studio One recordings and just overdub them with new live drums (often by Freddie McGregor, no less), to update them a bit and give them a bit more oomph. This is the last song on their timeless, flawless debut album, “ Rub A Dub Style”. Gets those hips moving too.Įye of Danger – The Jamaican RunDMC, Michigan & Smiley, killing this track on the “Danger In Your Eyes” riddim. They sound very 50s film noir movie soundtrack or something. This spawned the riddim of the same name. This came out on 7” in 1969, and was one of just a few solo records she made.ĭanger In Your Eyes – Going back to 1966 with Don Evans & The Paragons on a Rocksteady stomper. She also had a few hits with The Ebony Sisters, like this jumping version of Rescue Me. They made a ton of ska and rocksteady recordings with true champions like Lee Perry, Roland Alphonso, and of course Mr Bob Marley himself. She got her start singing with Rita Marley’s group The Soulettes (alongside Nora Dean). Cecile Campbell, not to be confused with Cecil Campbell aka Prince Buster, was actually Cornell Campbell’s sister. Whisper To Me – Amazing sound on this record, thanks to Coxsone Dodd. This one is mostly mid-60s to mid-80s, but there’s a couple modern dubs in there, as well as a little bass detour, just to keep it interesting. It’s been too long since I made a reggae mix. Winston jarrett & the righteous flames – in a armagideon Jah stitch – raggamuffin style (rsd remix) Sugar minott & john wayne – jamming in the streetĭub spencer & trance hill – bank robber dub Wouldn't let me rate Value for the money, but I'd give it a 7.Don evans and the paragons – danger in your eyes They are so relatable and extremely valuable to watch. ![]() There is more content that I don't feel like writing about now, and if you get the upgraded packages there are some very valuable extra videos. As Julien says a lot of what's going on "you can't verbalize to a friend", you have to see it to understand. He often paused the videos and explains the nuances going on. Julien takes the laws and shows infield clips of when he's doing it right as well as when he's doing it wrong. He gives a lot of inner game ideas as well as a good bit of outer game, what you need to do, ideas. Each section Julien explains thoroughly and gives very relatable examples. As someone who was always getting stifled by having 1000 different concepts, techniques, ideas in my head about what to do, this really broke it down and made everything easy. Julien really focuses on quality over quantity, which is sort of a theme of this program. But just because they are short videos doesn't mean they aren't very helpful. ![]() Each section of the ten laws is short (ranging from about 5 to 20 minutes) except the first law "Get Out Of Your Own Way" which is about 45 minutes. Get Out of Your Own Way, Offer Value, Make Yourself Feel a Good, Be Real, Communicate Clearly, Think Win Win, Play to Win, Get Better Not Bitter, Play The Paradoxes, and Apply This To Your Life. The first section of the product is the ten laws of game. Julien takes the macro concepts in game that cover all the micro concepts and puts them into ten laws. and I also have The Natural by Max which is very highly thought of. This is probably my favorite product I've ever gotten.
